Brunei Darussalam is a member of the ASEAN, APEC, WTO, BIMP-EAGA (Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia & the Philippines-East Asia Growth Area) and the Multilateral Agreement on the Liberalization of International Air Transportation (MALIAT). In addition to trade liberalization regimes under ASEAN, Brunei Darussalam is party to the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade agreement (TPP) and the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP).

Brunei’s Office of Economic Planning and Development at the Ministry of Finance and Economy compiles National Statistics including economic statistics, foreign direct investment, and national accounts; and manages the national census.
